Campaign Story

My name is Allison Hartsock, I am 21 years old diagnosed with DOR, and I’m currently fundraising for IVF treatment through Indiana Fertility Institute. After 2 years of trying to grow our family, I’ve learned that this path is far from easy, especially with being diagnosed at such an early age, but it is one filled with hope, strength, and unwavering love.

My fertility journey began with multiple medicated cycles using Letrozole, several ultrasounds, lab draws, and a lot of waiting and praying. I’ve been diagnosed with severely very low AMH (0.042), which makes our time-sensitive fertility situation especially challenging. After five rounds of Letrozole and one chemical pregnancy, our doctor has recommended that egg donation is our best chance of conceiving. Hearing that at 21 years old was the worst news ever, but we are going to try a few rounds of egg retrieval to hopefully get whatever eggs I have left.

We’re hopeful, but the financial burden is real. IVF involves not only the procedure itself, but also medications, monitoring appointments, trigger shots, egg retrieval, and embryo transfer most of which are not covered by insurance in Indiana.

This fundraiser is deeply personal. I’m doing this because I’ve dreamed of becoming a mom for as long as I can remember, I have been a full time nanny for the past 4 years, and having my own child is something that is very deep to me. I know that IVF is not a guarantee, but it is our best chance and we’re ready to take that step with your support.

Every dollar, every share, every kind message brings us one step closer to making this dream a reality.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for being part of our story and for giving us hope.

With love and gratitude,
Allison and Dalton Hartsock
